Located in the most exclusive and elegant area, in front of some prestigious antique villas surrounded by pine trees, the Bagno Santa Maria is one of the oldest bathing establishments in Forte dei Marmi and it has remained unchanged with time.
As a result of the will of Zarri’s family, the owner since its foundation, it has maintained the original look of the first seaside architecture of Forte dei Marmi. In fact there is neither a swimming pool nor any modern concrete building.
The main building is still in wood, as all the cabins, and low in height allowing one to view the pinewood and of the mountains that consitute the original landscape of Versilia land.
Bagno Santa Maria is one of the few still preserving the Tamarisk groves so dear to the artists who have celebrated Forte dei Marmi at the beginning of ‘900 century. Tamarisk groves provide shade to the bar/restaurant terrace, where one can taste the traditional cuisine in a simple and elegant atmosphere.
